Climbing Roses

'Cecile Brunner' -- A fast growing, very large, [1 5'-20'] climber covered with perfectly shaped little high centered pink roses from early spring to the end of June in my Arlington yard. Put this rose on a sturdy structure.

Dortmund -- A beautiful red single rose with yellow stamens that tends to grow in clusters of 5 flowers or more on thorny stems with glossy dark green leaves. Mine has bloomed from early spring to late fall as long as I keep it deadheaded. If you stop deadheading this one in August it will produce large orange rose hips. Mine has grown to 8'.

Lavender Lassie -- A large [10'- 12'] climber with clusters of lilac - purple semi- double, fragrant flowers. It blooms heavy in the spring with scattered flowers until frost. Choose a structure that is sturdy.

Mermaid -- A fast growing very large [15'-20'] climber with shiny, healthy, dark green foliage that produces clusters off Tarrant yellow single roses with gold stamens. This climber has lots of thorns so use it somewhere where that won't be a problem. It blooms from spring to frost It needs a sturdy structure.

Old Blush-- A large climber [12'- 20'] This one produces pink blooms from early spring until frost and is very easy to grow.

Vanity -- This one is our pet - Taylor and I love it and it grows in bright shade just outside her window in the Fairy Garden. It has vivid hot pink single blooms with yellow stamens that are very fragrant from early spring until frost. It gets 8' - 10' and makes a good trellis rose.

Zephirine Droughin -- This very fragrant, large, hot pink traditional rose is a real showstopper in the early spring until May. After three years in my yard it blooms a bit in the summer and then has a fair show in the fall. It gets about 10' and is totally evergreen with a deep purple new growth. It is a good trellis rose.

Shrub Roses

Basye's Blueberry -- This 5' shrub has bright pink semi-double roses with yellow stamens throughout the season and looks very much like a blueberry bush. It is thorn less with a nice shape and has yellow fall color and good hips.

Belinda's Dream -- A real Superstar. This is a fast growing true pink rose on blue-green foliage with purple new growth. The fragrance is rich. It blooms from early Spring until frost. 4'-5'

Caldwell pink -- This ever blooming easy care shrub rose gifts us with clusters of lilac-pink double flowers throughout the season. The blooms are small but profuse. 3'-4'

Dainty Bess -- This beautiful rose is a soft pink single rose with deep maroon stamens and ruffled edges. Its foliage is deep green and glossy and it has a strong fragrance. It is a 3' - 4' shrub. A good container rose too. Blooms all season.

Eutin -- This rose has huge dark red clusters of blooms on dark green foliage that makes a 4'-5' shrub.

Graham Thomas --  I love this yellow David Austin rose. It should have been the yellow rose of Texas as far as I am concerned. It can make a nice rounded 4' - 5' shrub or a small 8' climber if left alone. It has an unusual spicy fragrance. The bloom is large and cupped and appears in April through Oct.

Marie Pavie' -- A small shrub rose that makes a 3' - 4' shrub that produces very fragrant soft pink buds that open to a creamy white bloom. The fragrance is strong and very "rose". This rose can be a container rose also.

Mrs. Dudley Cross -- The closest you'll get to a peace rose in an antique. This rose is the Queen of our Fairy Garden. It has very fragrant double yellow roses that are edged with pink. It is almost thorn less. It has a nice shape and grows to about 5'.
